    Try that in any canadian neighborhood with little kids on a roof that high and some karen would call the children's aid society on your butt. That's the difference between city and rural kids, working rural vs kids playing video games and being a liability...

    Мне это напоминает фильмы об освоении земель США первыми колонистами ))) Видимо, так всё и выглядело, но без электричества. Приплыли и давай строиться. Поражаюсь вашему трудолюбию. Успехов! It reminds me of films about the development of the lands of the USA by the first colonists))) Apparently, that's what it looked like, only without electricity. We have arrived and let's build up. I am amazed at your hard work. Good luck!

    смотрю на детей и вспоминаю детство. 5-10 лет. как было весело и увлекательно лазить по стройке, большая куча песка это куча веселья, особенно если куча лежит рядом с какой либо высотой на которую можно залезть. найти шифер - счастье, найти карбид - великое счастье, найти строительные патроны - счастье вселенского масштаба. порезаться или порвать одежду - увлекательное приключение в стиле "преступление и наказание". сломать себе кость или проткнуть себе что нить арматурой - это было геройское и чрезвычайно уважаемое достижение 🤣🤣 в копилку тем кто так переживает за безопасность детей на стройке. если бы всё так было очень опасно как многие молодые родители себе придумывают, думаю мало кто из нас пережил бы детство. 😁😁 у меня умер только один друг в детстве от чего то что косвенно можно связать с опасностями на строительном объекте. от высокого напряжения. он вышел из дома в школу, шел сильный дождь, сильный ветер, лето , шорты, сандали, рядом оборвались провода и упали прям ему на ноги или просто наступил в лужу которая была по неизвестной причине под напряжением. ходили лишь слухи и легенды, точной причины и обстоятельств произошедшего , кроме того что это было высокое напряжение , никто так и не узнал.

    What about building code in Russia? You did not show building inspectors coming to your building site. In USA we have to follow BOCA building code and have to call inspector to approve footing excavation before pouring concrete. You are building in American style which is not known in Russia so how they can inspect your building? Or they do not inspect new buildings?

    • @mbmsv
      @mbmsv Час назад

      No inspection for private houses up to 3 storeys. There is a Russian version of the building code for frame houses. It was essentially copied from the Canadian or American code. However, it appears that not too many people in Russia know of its existence. In any case it is not being enforced.

    • @staszekgolab9319
      @staszekgolab9319 12 минут назад

      @@mbmsv Great for Russians. It was a nightmare when I was building my last house in USA. Inspectors were rejecting everything, apparently waiting for the bribe. My main man building the house was the building inspector on vacation so when inspectors (his coworkers) were coming, he was hiding in the bushes. He told me that inspectors are full of crap and told my wife to go to State Building Inspector and make mess with kids rolling on the carpet, screaming, crying etc. So they came: State inspector and city inspectors and approved everything suddenly. This is USA now, capitol of democracy and law abiding model for the whole world. Not.

    Hurricane straps are stronger than Hurricane clips. I don't know what you have there, but I'd use the strongest thing possible, as they can also help in earthquakes. I don't know if your area has bad weather, or earthquakes, but there's always a first time! Having been through a serious tornado outbreak and earthquakes, I'd install straps. The house is looking great! Going up in leaps and bounds! All the best with your home building! What was the permitting like there? Costs? I'd put the trusses/rafters 16" on center. It may seem like extra, but it makes a difference, especially in a bad storm or an earthquake. Anyhow, the house is looking wonderful! These kids will remember this for the rest of their lives. They will also know how to build a home for the rest of their lives! Great stuff! This has to be the cleanest construction site I have ever seen. That's going to help you with clean-up for years to come. I'm not kidding! I grew up in a newly built neighborhood with some sloppy workers, and we found nails, screws and concrete mess years later! I'm still watching, and I'm glad you are installing strapping. You guys are awesome! ❤ from California, looking for a farm of my own, and a strong gentleman to share it with.

      Seems like a 4/12 or 6/12 pitch. Isn't he putting a metal roof on it? If so, that should be okay. It would need "ice breaks" installed where entryways are.

    Arend, when you have time, can we get your take on safety. I've been in large scale commercial construction for decades. We spend hours preaching daily to grown up adults how they are supposed to be safe. Safety orientations, pre-job safety instructions, safety training, list goes on and on and on. How do you deliver the safety messages to your kids. It goes without saying that your kids are smart and are willing to listen to you, but what is the secret? I am not going to lie, my heart was going up and down to see your kids moving sheets of OSB at the roof leading edge. Starting this year EllisDon will force fall protection at 8 feet height on all projects nationwide

    7:00 makes sense, and I've noticed in my travels in Russia and East europe, in dire contrast to the mainstream city westerners that people from eastern slavic regions are far more militant about their produce quality and abhor the way western megacorps prioritise in their cultivars and how they grow them. Probably because of the prevalence of Dacha culture, plus most everyone has a grandma or aunties whom gardens their own veggies constantly. Lots of videos of Ukrainian refugees throwing mini tantrums in western european supermarkets over how terrible and woody and tasteless the produce is, even compared to bigger markets back home.

    Some people here in comments worrying about sturdiness of such houses. My house in Houston, TX and all others, which built similarly to what Arend building, just recently have suffered Beryl . It reached Category 1 hurricane 85-90 miles per hour wind. It was very strong wind and rain same time. Some big trees were down and electric posts. None of the houses was damaged. My house just lost a few shingles on a roof and one section of the fence was down. So, this kind of houses are very strong and Arend knows how to build. Let God bless you all!

    Roof rafter spacing depends on the snow load specific to the geographic area and the shape of the roof. Snow accumulation between low and high portion of the roof can multiply the normal snow load. According to SNiP (analog of building code ) snow load in Nizhny is 240 kg/m2. [2.4 kPa or 50 lbs/sf)

    ❤ dear errand, there’s not a lot of people that built and use the sheet rock in Russia. Most of the buildings are we stone or concrete or something else? They don’t even put sheet rock inside after they put the stone they usually use some stuff inside it’s like another thick type of stuff that goes on the walls I forget what it’s called and then they all use wallpaper. That is a very popular thing in Russia wallpaper. Most people do not paint their houses in their rooms in different colors since it’s always really cold there people like some fancy weird stuff inside so they like to play it up with a bunch of colorful wallpaper and every room that end up looking crazy in the end

Один раз за всё время подмёрзло, но мы быстро устранили причину. my friend, you still cannot understand why material is 2.5m or 2500mm or 1250mm??? because its a metric system. most of the world is working in metric, and as you said your self, canada also uses metric in parallel with imperial but construction is stuck with imperial since people is used to it from beginning. everything construction related is tailored to the imperial measures and its worked out in it. all engineering calculations you are implementing here are based on imperial measurements. well, europe and most of the world is calculating in metric, therefore material will be conformed around those numbers. what is the half of 1m as the base of the measurements? 50cm. half of the 50cm? 25cm. half of that 12.5cm... when up scaling to 10m, so natural will be 1m then 5m and 10m. that are the metric natural fractions of half and quarters. and thats why your material is 2500x1250 for example, your house is 10m x 10m so you will need 32 whole pieces of 1250x2500 or 16 sheets 2500x2500 of plywood to cover that area without any cutoffs or additional material. rule of 16" from centre to centre is based from calculations of material strength of 2x4" (actual 1 3/4 x 3 3/4) wood studs. but if you do proper calculations for 5x10cm wood stud you will get different requirement for distance between them and it would be more than 16" hence less studs will be used and then 4x8 sheet of drywall or plywood would net meet at the centre of the stud. europe does not have that rule as house is built on solid materials (mostly) and calculations are different when doing concrete surfaces like floors. almost any solid walls allow concrete slabs, but can your type of the wall support concrete slab based on 16" rule? all the best, keep it up and cant wait to see you and family move in to new home.
